It was not long ago when pictures of Mahendra Singh Dhoni playing golf with former US president Donald Trump made a lot of noise on the Internet. In 2023, Dhoni was spotted playing golf at the Trump National Golf Club. His photos with Mr Trump had spread like wildfire on social media. Well, well, now we have come across a video in which Dhoni can be heard indirectly mentioning his “golf friend.” During a recent promotional event for the Chennai Super Kings, Dhoni revealed that New Jersey is his travel destination. Dhoni added that he frequently visits a friend in the US. The legendary India skipper also shared how they play golf for hours and relish good food between breaks.
“We play golf for four and a half hours, and then we sit, we eat food, and we do the same thing again the next day. So doing nothing, just playing golf, having food for 15-20 days and then the club has a member-member tournament over there. We participated in the tournament and came back. But for me, that is the best 15-20 days. Doing nothing, only playing golf and eating food,” MS Dhoni was heard saying in a now-viral video on Instagram.
Upon hearing this, a person joked about MS Dhoni’s friend. To this, the former Chennai Super Kings skipper, in his signature style, said, “I know what you mean. With my friend. Not many people know.”
The video has left fans curious about whether the CSK superstar was hinting at the former US president.

Meanwhile, the picture in question featured MS Dhoni sporting a blue T-shirt and trousers with gloves in his hands, while Donald Trump was right next to him in a white T-shirt and black trousers. A video also surfaced from Dhoni’s game with Trump, in which the World Cup-winning skipper was seen aiming at the golf ball.

Coming back to cricket, MS Dhoni relinquished leadership duties at CSK ahead of the IPL 2024. Currently, with just one spot left, CSK and RCB are vying to book the final playoff berth. CSK, with 14 points to their name, are now placed at the fourth spot in the IPL 2024 standings. Sixth-placed RCB are two points behind the five-time IPL winners.
