Experiencing your luggage being “misplaced” or “damaged” is an ordeal no traveler wishes to endure during a flight. The escalating number of incidents where airlines mishandle baggage has only heightened these anxieties among passengers. Recently, a video emerged on the internet showcasing the distressing moment when an Air India passenger, Parminder Singh Kukreja, witnessed his cherished piano suffer damage while in transit.

In the footage, Kukreja, a dedicated musician, expressed his disappointment towards the airline for the harm inflicted upon his beloved musical instrument. “We struggle we purchase & we are artist(s). Totally disappointed with the service! I guess thrs (there is) no use of fragile tags and special handlin @airindia @ratantata And what’s next?” he lamented in the video’s caption, which exhibited a cavity on one side of the piano despite the outer covering adorned with numerous ‘Fragile’ stickers remaining intact.

He also disclosed that the airline disclaimed any responsibility for the damage incurred on the piano.

Subsequently, the video gained viral traction, with commenters expressing their disappointment with Air India. “@airindia maybe thats daily thing for you but for artist their equipments are really very important thats not fare,” remarked one user. Another expressed, “This is really disappointing! Musicians are frequent travelers, and this is how you treat them? Shameful! @airindia.”

A third commenter criticised, “@airindia this is not acceptable. I have faced similar issues with my instrument. Its like they almost specialise in delayed flights with no compensation.Extremely horrible service. Sorry to say this but it doesnt look you guys will ever change. Disappointing!”

Some individuals even questioned the discrepancy between the undamaged exterior padding and the internal damage. “I guess pack with protective foam ???? and fit so that inside the case nothing moves don’t blame others i guess,” opined one commenter. Another added, “Is the top side of your case properly padded? Am sure if it is, there is no chance if damage like that. Or did they open the case and damaged your keyboard.”
