WWE’s weekly live event Monday Night RAW made a waltzing return yesterday, July 8. Airing live from the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, the show featured six official matches. The episode started with one-on-one action between Chad Gable and Jey Uso. Tag-team action followed soon as the Awesome Truth joined forces with Braun Strowman to take down Carlito and Judgment Day. Women’s action saw Katana Chance, Kayden Carter and Lyra Valkyria team up against Damager CTRL. Finally, the main event witnessed a mixed tag-team match as Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio squared off against Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega.
CM Punk addresses WWE Universe
After thanking John Cena following his retirement announcement, CM Punk talked about how Drew McIntyre couldn’t be present during the event because of a suspension. He then pointed towards a video where McIntyre was seen hijacking the Money in the Bank post-show and attacking Adam Pearce. Punk was then interrupted by Seth Rollins who reminded the ‘Best in the World’ that he would be coming back for him after becoming the WWE World Heavyweight Champion again. He then quoted Punk and talked about how actions had consequences before leaving the ring.
Bron Breakker confronts Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn
The segment began with Sami Zayn discussing how Bron Breakker brought everything he had at Money in the Bank but couldn’t beat him. This led to Breakker going to the ring and staring down Zayn. Breakker then revealed that he had never thought it would be Zayn from the main roster to beat him. Just then Breakker attacked Zayn with a quick spear. Ilja Dragunov came to the ring to confront Breakker and check if the Intercontinental Champion was alright.
Rhea Ripley returns to RAW
Following the main event, Liv Morgan attempted to hug Dominik Mysterio but got pushed off. Just then Rhea Ripley’s music hits as she stormed down to the ring. Seeing her, Morgan retreated to the crowd. Ripley got inside the four ropes and confronted Dominik who looked to hug her. However, a frustrated Ripley slid out and started moving towards backstage. Dominik chased after her while trying to explain himself but was ignored as the show went off-air.

Chad Gable vs Jey ‘Main Event’ Uso – Jey won the match by pinfall after hitting Gable with a spear.
‘Big’ Bronson Reed vs Pete Dunne – A 747 splash enabled Reed to win by pinfall.
Awesome Truth and Braun Strowman vs Carlito and Judgment Day – A Coup de Grace from Finn Balor on R Truth sealed a victory for Carlito and Judgment Day.
Bron Breakker vs Ilja Dragunov – Ilja Dragunov won the match via disqualification.
Damage CTRL vs Katana Chance, Kayden Carter and Lyra Valkyria – IYO SKY hit the moonsault on Carter to seal the win for Damage CTRL.
Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan vs Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega in a mixed tag-team match – A Frog Splash from Dominik saw him and Morgan win by pinfall.
