WWE Yet to Confirm World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollin’s Contract Extension, Report Says
Currently the World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins is yet to have confirmed his contract extension with the WWE which is set to expire in the first half of 2024.

WWE has to make some crucial decisions next year as the existing contracts of several superstars are scheduled to expire during the first half of 2024. With Endeavor taking over the ownership, it will be interesting to see how the company chalks out their plans to keep those outgoing wrestlers. One of the big names from the group is Seth “Freakin” Rollins, who has been a towering figure at Monday Night RAW for quite some time now.

According to a report by Fightful Select, Rollins’ current contract with WWE is slated to end in June of next year but the company has yet to think about his future. Rollins has kept the World Heavyweight Championship in his possession for over 190 days. Considering his present stature and fan following, it is unlikely for WWE to let him go this early.

Similar to the 37-year-old American, his wife Becky Lynch’s contract with WWE will come to an end in June 2024. Lynch is also signed with the RAW brand and has been a frequent feature on its roster in recent times.

The Fightful Select report, however, claimed that there have been no rumours about inking a new deal either with Rollins or with Lynch. But the publication further said that WWE will “obviously” make their final decision about Rollins sometime between now and June as the company sees them as a priority.

Fightful Select asked a WWE official about the development and the source seemed hopeful for Rollins continuing his stint with the red brand. The outlet also tried to confirm the news with Rollins but the wrestler denied to make any early comment. The report though did not mention anything about Becky Lynch’s future.

Seth Rollins engaged in a heated exchange with CM Punk on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW on December 11. Punk has recently made a surprising return to WWE after being dropped from the AEW roster due to a backstage feud. The former World Champions appeared at the Survivor Series when the Men’s Wargames was underway. Rollins, who was also present at the premium event, was visibly not happy with Punk’s return.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Rollins revealed that there had been real-life tensions between him and Punk but he would consider resolving the issues for the needs of the business. After announcing his deal with the RAW brand, Punk hinted at taking on Rollins for a title match, which is likely to feature at WrestleMania 40, scheduled for April next year.
