Travis Head Catches A Blinder To Dismiss Rohit Sharma In IND vs AUS World Cup Final: WATCH
Maxwell bowled a deceiving tempter to Rohit Sharma, urging him to come on the front foot and sky it high, only for it to be caught by Travis Head.

The final showdown is here and boy, is it not proving to be a feisty one already. Australia won the toss and put the Indians up to bat first, as skipper Pat Cummins took his chances on the heavy dew that may set in later on in the day. But, none of it mattered to India, who got going with business as usual.

Starc bowled a tricky short ball to dismiss Shubman Gill quickly, but the pair of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli took to the Aussie bowlers as they smacked both pacers for boundaries galore.

Skipper Rohit Sharma took to his “Hitman’ moniker, as he went on the offensive and pushed the pace with punishing the bowlers for sixes and fours at will.

Australia skipper Pat Cummins then took the decision to introduce Glenn Maxwell early into the game.

Maxwell had a fairly effective first over, giving up just seven runs. But, upon the start of his second over, Rohit decided it was time to go full Hitman, punishing Maxwell for a six and a four in consecutive balls.

Maxwell though kept his composure and upon realising the change in mentality within Sharma, Maxwell bowled a deceiving tempter to Rohit, urging him to come on the front foot and sky it high, only for it to be caught by Travis Head.

Head, ran back from covers, as the ball travelled high and held onto a stunner of a catch over his shoulder to dismiss the dangerman, and to quickly shift the momentum once again towards Australia.

Shreyas Iyer was introduced into the batting attack next up, but a momentary lapse of judgment cost him his wicket as well in the following over to Pat Cummins.
