HPCL, with its vast network of 22,000+ outlets, has already installed over 3,700 EV chargers across India to combat range anxiety.

Mooving, the battery swapping network from the SAR Group and Livguard, has announced an exciting new partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL).

This landmark collaboration will see Mooving install its state-of-the-art automated swapping stations at over 22,000 HPCL retail outlets nationwide, marking a major leap in India’s electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure.

HPCL’s choice of Mooving was influenced by the company’s commitment to indigenous, Make in India technology. After rigorous evaluation of Mooving’s technical prowess and delivery capabilities, HPCL decided Mooving was the ideal partner for this transformative project.

In the coming year, Mooving and HPCL will deploy more than 500 automated battery swapping stations. These cutting-edge, fully automated stations will redefine convenience and efficiency, enhancing the overall EV experience and distinguishing Mooving from its competitors. This strategic rollout will boost battery swapping services, drive electric mobility adoption, and offer crucial support to EV users across the country.

HPCL, with its vast network of over 22,000 retail outlets and more than 3,700 EV chargers installed across India, is committed to reducing carbon emissions in the mobility sector. The new partnership allows Mooving to leverage HPCL’s extensive reach and innovative solutions to establish a benchmark in battery swapping, thereby accelerating EV adoption and contributing to a greener economy.

Subhankar Dutta, HPCL’s General Manager of Retail Strategy and Business Development, signed the agreement with Mooving. Pritesh Talwar, President of Lectrix EV and Mooving, commented, “This partnership will also contribute to economic growth by creating new job opportunities and fostering innovation within the EV ecosystem.”

This collaboration aims to simplify EV ownership by offering Battery as a Service (BaaS), covering battery costs, maintenance, and charging. With a seamless battery swapping experience, Mooving is driving the electric vehicle revolution and reinforcing its leadership in the EV energy sector.
