'Have To Make A Family Drama Now': Prashanth Neel On His Post-Salaar Plans
Prashanth candidly admitted that he has an artistic preference for neutral and dark colours, describing it as a personal choice that aligns with his filmmaking style.

The year is concluding with two colossal films, Dunki starring Shah Rukh Khan and Salaar Part One: Ceasefire featuring Prabhas, poised for a box office clash. As both films engaged in extensive promotional activities, director Prashanth Neel, known for his work on KGF, shared insights into his vision for Salaar and disclosed a promise he made to his mother to create a family drama film.

In a recent interview, Prashanth revealed that his mother expressed discomfort with the prevalent high-octane violence in his films, making it challenging for her to watch. She urged him to consider making a family-oriented film, prompting the director to acknowledge the need for a departure from his signature intense style.

Despite his commitment to a family drama, Prashanth candidly admitted in previous interviews that he has an artistic preference for neutral and dark colours, describing it as a personal choice that aligns with his filmmaking style.

During an interaction with Kairam Vaashi, Prashanth Neel discussed the physical and personal toll of filmmaking. Acknowledging the strain on his personal life, he confessed to sacrificing time with his children and family due to the demands of his profession. Despite recognising his shortcomings as a father, husband, son, and friend, he emphasised that these sacrifices were intentional and driven by his passion for cinema.

Opening up about Salaar, the film set in a fictional world, explores the dynamic between two best friends, Deva and Vardha, portrayed by Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Unforeseen events transform their close friendship into a bitter enmity. Alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran and Prabhas, the cast includes Shruti Haasan, Eshwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu, and Sriya Reddy in pivotal roles.

As Prashanth Neel navigates the demands of the film industry, his commitment to delivering impactful stories is evident, even as he contemplates a shift towards a more family-centric narrative.
