Anand Mahindra talked about SRK’s new film in his own unique way

Shah Rukh Khan has taken the Bollywood box office by storm yet again with another mass entertainment film, Jawan. The film features Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead alongside Khan and has been crushing the box office numbers. The Chairman of Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra, before the film’s release, wished SRK’s new film luck in his way. Sharing a video of the trailer launch event of Jawan in Dubai where Shah Rukh Khan can also be seen performing, Anand Mahindra said that it is time to declare the actor a natural resource of India.

“All countries guard their natural mineral resources and mine them and usually export them to earn forex. Maybe it’s time to declare Shah Rukh Khan, a Natural Resource…” Anand Mahindra wrote in the tweet

Shah Rukh Khan also responded to the Industrialist appreciation and wrote, “Thank u so much. I keep trying in my small humble way to make our country proud in terms of making cinema. And hope as a ‘natural resource’ I am not limited!!! Big hug sir.”

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli also appreciated the success of Jawan’s opening day. He tweeted, “This is the reason why Shah Rukh Khan is the Baadshah of the box office… What an earth-shattering opening… congratulations Atlee for continuing the success streak in the north too, and congrats to the team of Jawan for the stupendous success.”

SRK also replied to the wish and said, “Thank u so much, sir. We are all learning from your creative inputs for cinema. Please see it as and when u can. Then call me to tell me if I can be a mass hero also. Ha ha. Love and regards sir.”

Jawan is directed by Atlee and is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. Apart from the lead actors, the film also features Sanya Malthora, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Yogi Babu and Ridhi Dogra among others. The pan-India film opened with Rs 65 crore net at the domestic box office for the Hindi language and earned Rs 129.6 crore worldwide. Jawan recorded itself in history by making itself the biggest opening day in the history of Hindi Cinema. However, on Day 2, the film witnessed a 30 per cent drop compared to its opening day. The film earned Rs 45 crore nett on Friday at the domestic ticket counter.

If the film holds momentum over the weekend, it may easily close its opening weekend with a collection of Rs 235-240 crore nett.
