More than 1100 railway stations in the country are being redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Its work has already started in most of them. This list includes 157 railway stations in Uttar Pradesh. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw himself gave information about these stations in the ministry on Wednesday. Let’s take a look at the stations that are being redeveloped. According to the railways, the stations’ portions being redeveloped include roof plazas, inter-model connectivity, children’s play area, kiosks, lifts, waiting rooms, food courts, lifts and escalators. The redevelopment will make the station friendly for Divyang people. The design of these stations will incorporate local culture and heritage.

Gola Gokaran Nath, Gomti Nagar, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Goverdhan, Govindpuri, Gursahaiganj, Haidergarh, Hapur, Hardoi, Hathras City, Idgah Agra Junction, Izzatnagar, Janghai Junction, Jaunpur City, Jaunpur Junction, Kannauj, Kanpur Anwarganj, Kanpur Bridge Left Bank, Kanpur Central, Kaptanganj Junction, Kasganj Junction, Kashi, Khalilabad, Khorason Road, Khurja Junction, Kosi Kalan, Kunda Harnamganj, Lakhimpur, Lalganj, Lalitpur Junction, Lambhua, Lohta, Lucknow (Charbagh), Lucknow City, Lucknow Junction (all of North Central Railway).
Earlier, under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the redevelopment of 56 railway stations and the construction of 192 over bridges and underground passes will take place in Maharashtra. The stations included in this initiative are Kurla, Mumbra, Diva, Vidyavihar, Byculla, Sandhurst Road, Chinchpokli, Itwari, Kamptee, Amgaon, Bhandara Road, Shahad, Titwala, Igatpuri, Tumsar Road, Vadala Road, Matunga, Wadsa, Chanda Fort, and Gondia, among others.
Apart from this, the foundation stone for the redevelopment of 46 railway stations in Gujarat was laid on February 26 by PM Modi. He also laid the foundation stone of 135 Road Over Bridges/Underpasses, which was laid, inaugurated, and dedicated to the nation. Some of these stations are Ahemdabad, Rajkot, Jamnagar, and others.
Earlier, PM also inaugurated the commencement of redevelopment projects for 45 railway stations in the southern regions of West Bengal through the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Within this initiative, foundation stones were laid for 22 stations under the jurisdiction of the South Eastern Railway and 23 stations under the Eastern Railway. Notable stations on the list include Bandel, Kharagpur Junction, Adra, Purulia, Panagarh, Jangipur, Chandannagar, Bankura, Naihati, and Dumdum.
