New Delhi: Bharti Airtel CEO and Joint MD Manoj Kohli has sold a major part of his stake in the company.

Manoj Kohli's entire stake in Bharti Airtel stands at 1.2 lakh shares. Kohli reportedly sold the shares in two phases on March 6 and March 9.

The share markets did not respond positively to the news as the Airtel Bharti stock tumbled.

Meanwhile, retail major Pantaloon will be expanding in 2009 despite the slowdown.

Sources have told Network18 that Pantaloon promoters are likely to infuse nearly Rs 300 crore in Pantaloon retail.

The company plans to open 10 Central Stores, 35 Big Bazaar and 25 eZones in 2009.

Pantaloon promoters will raise funds via the preferential route.

Sources also say Pantaloon expects to end the year with 30 per cent growth rate.
