Airtel's 'mChek' will allow its post-paid subscribers in Delhi and NCR region to pay bills through mobiles.

New Delhi: Telecom service provider Bharti Airtel on Monday introduced 'mChek', a new solution that will allow its post-paid subscribers in Delhi and NCR region to pay bills through mobiles.

The 'mChek' is a mobile payment platform developed in collaboration with VISA.

It would allow users to link an existing phone and their existing credit cards to their mobile phone and pay their bills.

All transactions are secured by an 'mChekPIN' number that must be entered on the mobile phone.

Recently Bharti Airtel launched the thinnest model of BlackBerry in association with wireless solutions provider Research In Motion (RIM).

"We are very excited to bring the innovative and feature-rich Blackberry 8800 to India for our high-end customers," news agency PTI quoted Bharti Airtel Mobile Services President Sanjay Kapoor as saying.

The model also offers a ultra-bright, high resolution (320x240) landscape colour display, light-sensing technology that automatically optimises the screen, trackball and keyboard lighting for indoor, outdoor and dark environments.
