News about unique inventions go viral on social media, every now and then. Recently, something similar happened. Two school students invented a bicycle mixer grinder, which is currently garnering everyone’s attention. According to reports, they study at a private school in Kalapet, Puducherry. This school has more than 500 students. Recently, they organised a science exhibition. A large number of students participated in the event and showcased their talent.
The exhibition was held to create awareness about saving electricity and drinking water protection, use of plastic, etc. At this event, two eighth-grade students named Sakshi and Adhirai collaborated to create a bicycle mixer grinder that runs without electricity. The specialty of this mixer is that it automatically grinds when one steps on the pedal of a bicycle. This new invention attracted the attention of a huge audience.
In an interaction with Local18, Adhirai and Sakshi said, “Our bicycle mixer works without electricity. So next time, if there is no electricity in the house, instead of telling moms to grind anything, they can themselves grind it by pedalling the bicycle.”
Earlier, another student named Sanjana Patagar from Karnataka grabbed the limelight for her invention. She studies in 8th grade in Anagodu Government Senior Primary School in Yallapur Taluk, Uttara Kannada district. She has designed a versatile device and was selected to participate in a prestigious national-level science competition. Her outstanding accomplishment has garnered recognition across the nation.
According to reports, Sanjana invented a multi-purpose device made of iron rods, which can be used as a study table, a cushioned seat, and a device for construction workers — it will help them lift 12 bricks at one time. Reports suggest Sanjana has made this unique and resourceful only at a budget of Rs 2,000.
