CBSE Releases List of Fake Social Media Handles That Are Confusing Students
CBSE has released a list of handles on X that are using the board's name and logo to spread misinformation to the public. The central board also added that appropriate action is being taken against these fake handles

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a list of social media handles that are using the name and logo of the board and spreading misinformation to the public. The board further added that there is only one official account of CBSE on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) which goes with the handle ‘@cbseindia29’. Students, teachers, and other stakeholders to take note of the same.

“It has come to notice of Central Board of Secondary Education that the following handles have been found to be using the name and/or logo of CBSE , with a view to mislead the general public on X ( Formerly Twitter),” the board said in a press release.

The central board also added that appropriate action is being taken against these fake handles. “It is hereby informed that appropriate action is being initiated against these Social Media Handles. The public is hereby cautioned and advised to follow only the official X handle of CBSE, which is @cbseindia29 for verified and authentic information pertaining to CBSE,” it said.

“CBSE will not be responsible hereinafter for any information given by any other source using the name and logo of CBSE in any of the style on social media platforms and accessed by the public,” it further added.

The CBSE board exams 2024 for classes 10 and 12 are slated to commence on February 15. The board has released the admit cards on its official website at cbse.nic.in, cbse.gov.in, and parikshasangam.cbse.gov.in. The CBSE board exam for Class 10 is scheduled from February 15 to March 13, 2024, whereas the exams for Class 12 will take place from February 15 to April 2, 2024. The examinations will commence at 10:30 am and conclude at 1:30 pm. Before writing the test, students will have an additional 15 minutes in hand to read through the question paper.
