The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has released a recruitment notification for various posts of Constable Tradesman. The recruitment drive consists of 51 vacancies for tailors and cobblers. Educational Qualification:

Candidates should have qualified Class 10 examination from a recognised board along with an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification for the professions of a cobbler or tailor. Alternatively, they should have a two-year work experience in the mentioned trades. Candidates with a two-year Diploma from Industrial Training Institute are also eligible to apply.

Age Limit:

A candidate should not be less than 18 years or above the age of 23 years to be eligible for the recruitment drive.

Application fees:

Candidates belonging to the General, OBC and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100. Female candidates and those belonging to the SC, ST or ESM categories are exempted from paying application fees.

The selection of the candidates is to be made based on their performance in a multi-tier recruitment process. This will include:

Physical Efficiency and Standard Test-

For the Physical Efficiency and Standard Test, candidates will have to complete multiple tasks including running, long jump, and high jump among others, as specified by the recruiting authorities.

Document Verification-

Important documents like educational certificates, age proof, caste certificates (if applicable), ITI certificates etc will be verified by the organisation to ascertain the candidate’s eligibility.

Written examination-

The authorities will assess a candidate’s knowledge and aptitude through a test. It will cover subjects like general knowledge, mathematics, English, Hindi, and information related to the trade.

Medical examination-

After qualifying for the written test, candidates will undergo a medical examination, which will ensure their fitness for the duties.
