Dunga said the youngsters should also be given training and exposure outside.

Kolkata: Brazilian World Cup winner Dunga on Monday urged India should take a cue from Japan to develop their standard of football. "One can learn from the way Japan did it. They brought in talented coaches from outside like Brazil to train them. The youngsters should also be given training and exposure outside," Dunga said when asked about ways to develop India's sagging fortunes in football, as the country languishes at 168 in the FIFA rankings.

"Now Japan have become a force to reckon with," the former Brazilian captain and coach said during his two-day promotional trip to the city. "You must develop the youth football. They are the future and they should play with fun," he said. About Kaka-Ronaldinho duo's comeback to Brazil, he said "Kaka is a very important member of the Brazil national team, while for Ronaldinho it only depends on him. If he plays the way he does for Barcelona, then it would be a welcome sign."

Dunga also said he was ready to get back into coaching, as debacle of 2010 is a thing of past according to him. "I had put everything behind after the World Cup debacle. But I've been getting a lot of invitation. Now, I think I'm ready to take up a new team," said Dunga, who was ousted after Brazil's 2010 World Cup quarterfinal elimination. Asked to comment on Brazil's new coach Mano Menezes, the 48-year-old said, "He is very new. It's too early to say anything about him. We have to see how he does in the future."

Dunga said talented Brazilian forward Neymar is the best player in that country right now. "He is currently the best in the country. But he needs to gain experience." About the oft-asked question as to who is the greatest between Pele and Diego Maradona, Dunga dribbled it safely saying: "Both are greats. I want both of them for my team." The answer was similar when asked about Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo but he added: "Messi is the creator, while Ronaldo is a killer and very fast."

Dunga believes that a turnaround would happen in Brazil football very soon. "We have all the good players. The team is getting strong. I'm sure we are going to bounce back soon." "There is not much of a difference in the standard of football. Earlier the winning margin would be three-four goals, while these day we are winning by one or two goals," he said.

The secret of Spain's dominance, he said, was about being together for a long time. "They have been together for seven to eight years, while the same theory applies for Barcelona. They have grown as a team." Dunga further said Messi makes a "big difference" in the Barcelona set-up. Dunga earlier inspected the Salt Lake Stadium and gave his 'green light' to turn up in an exhibition-cum-charity match there on December 8.

The Brazilian would be felicitated by the West Bengal Sports Council in a gathering of about 100 past and present footballers at Netaji Indoor Stadium here tomorrow, state Sports Minister Madan Mitra said.
