Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti Forecasts 'Beautiful Day for Mbappe' Ahead of Frenchman's Santiago Bernabeu Debut
Speaking on Mbappe's first appearance at the fabled ground, head coach Ancelotti opined that it would be a memorable moment for the French World Cup winner.

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe is all set to make his Santiago Bernabeu debut during the La Liga Champions’s second game of the season against Real Valladolid on Sunday.

The 25-year-old landed in the Spanish capital after an immensely prolonged transfer saga and will be raring to go as the Capital city giants prepare to take on the visiting Valladolid outfit.

Speaking on Mbappe’s first appearance at the fabled ground, head coach Carlo Ancelotti opined that it would be a beautiful moment for the French World Cup winner.

“I think it will be a beautiful day for Mbappe, to play at the Bernabeu for the first time in a Real Madrid shirt,” Ancelotti began.

“The fans are very excited about him, and he will have a great game, because of the quality he has — the fans will enjoy themselves,” the Italian added.

Madrid began their title defence with a draw at Mallorca on opening gameweek and Ancelotti expressed confidence that his side had learned lessons from the curtain-raiser.

“We have prepared well for the game on Sunday. We know very well what happened against Mallorca and we have tried to fix it for this weekend,” the 65-year-old said.

“I think facing Valladolid will be a good test. We lacked balance at times and we have to work on that,” he continued.

“It’s not so hard to look for a solution when the problem is clear, there is also a clear solution.”

Fans have noticed that the Madrid giants seem lopsided in the attacking third of the field, with their star names all preferring to operate on the left side of the field. However, Ancelotti noted that he wouldn’t be too worried about the same.

“I won’t tell them we have to play on the other wing when in the last years we’ve won two Champions Leagues playing (from the left),” said Ancelotti.

Star midfielder Jude Bellingham picked up a knock in training and will be ruled out of the game after medical procedures indicated that the Englishman had suffered a calf injury, which is expected to keep him sidelined for close to a month.
