Britney Spears has been hogging the limelight lately for her much-public split up with Iranian-American model Sam Asghari. According to reports, the former couple dated for seven years before tying the nuptial knot on June 9, 2022. Apart from her tumultuous personal life, the pop icon is also quite unpredictable about her social media endeavours as well. She is often seen deactivating her Instagram account, only to activate it after some time. And needless to say, Britney did it again. Presumably criticizing fans for approaching her in public, the 41-year-old on September 15 deactivated her Instagram handle, penning a cryptic post. But she made a quick social media comeback within just a day.
In a now-deleted Instagram caption, Britney Spear supposedly took a dig at her fans as she wrote, “When people say everywhere I go… ‘we missed you we missed you’ I’m like so enthralled that I’m so relatable you can speak to me when you’re not spoken to… because I CARE. I mean… should I not let you guys miss saying hi and disturb the peace (peace sign emoji).” Along with the caption, the American singer dropped a few pictures of herself, dressed in a red embellished crop top and a teeny-tiny piece of underwear. She sported a messed-up hairdo.

Within just a day after deactivating her Instagram account, Britney Spears surprised fans and social media users by reappearing on the media platform again. She shared a video of herself decked up in a sparkly, see-through top, barely covering her assets that she paired with a satin silver skirt. She was quick to switch her attire in the video, changing into a strapless, white, midi dress with a ruffled front and a pair of black stilettos. However, the Toxic hitmaker made sure to turn off the comments feature on her Instagram handle.

This is not the first time that Britney Spears decided to delete her Instagram account. Back in January, the singer deactivated her account following negative comments about her dance videos, according to some media reports. Five months after that in June, Britney once again deactivated her account ahead of her first wedding anniversary with now ex-husband Sam Asghari.
Britney Spears’ sudden and abrupt social media hiatuses caused fans to “call in wellness checks for the singer” which made her upset, reports Page Six. Sources close to TMZ revealed that Britney was “annoyed” by the over-concerned fans which led to a cop showing up at the singer’s house following a streak of unusual posts from her.
