- Place a Glow Berry on the bottom of a block to cause it to grow into a Cave Vine.
- Use Bone Meal on a Cave Vine to cause Glow Berries to grow.
- You can use Glow Berries as food or compost, but they're most useful as an underground light source.
How to Grow Glow Berries
Obtain a Glow Berry. In Minecraft, Glow Berries can be obtained from Cave Vines that have Glow Berries visible on them. You can either interact with the vine to get a berry, or destroy the vine. You can also get them as chest loot in the Mineshaft or Ancient City.
Place a Glow Berry on the bottom of a block. As long as there is air beneath the block, the Glow Berry will turn into a Cave Vine that grows downward.
Use Bone Meal on a Cave Vine to cause berries to grow. If the vine already has berries, you don't need to use Bone Meal on it until the vine is empty. Bone Meal can be crafted with a Bone or a Bone Block.
Glow Berry Uses
There are a few uses for Glow Berries. These uses are as follows: Glow Berries will restore 2 hunger when eaten. If placed in a Composter, Glow Berries have a 30% chance of raising the compost level by 1. Glow Berries on a vine can be used as a light source inside of a cave. Glow Berries can be used to breed foxes, and can be used on baby foxes to reduce their grow time by 10%.
