Actor-politician Udhayanidhi Stalin has been making headlines for his remarks over Sanatan Dharma at the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association on September 2. This has sparked a huge debate among the followers and non-followers of this religion. Now, Telugu TV anchor-actress Rashmi Gautam has also voiced her opinion against the remarks made by Udhayanidhi Stalin. She uploaded an old video of the actor and Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan, in which he was asking people to protect the Sanatan Dharma from the non-believers.
Rashmi Gautam has been targeted by netizens, ever since she voiced her opinions against Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remark. She faced a lot of criticism on Twitter. Now, in another latest post, Rashmi Gautam has slammed all those people who have been criticising her for believing in Sanatan Dharma. She highlighted the hypocrisy of freedom of speech in India and asked netizens to stop condemning her for her beliefs. “When I don’t question you for being an atheist why am I being questioned for being a believer,” wrote Rashmi Gautam in a cryptic post on Twitter.
She further questioned the netizens about the existence of the perfect religion. Rashmi Gautam said that every religion has extremists and radicals in it, but it doesn’t mean that we should change our religion. Rashmi Gautam further wrote that every religion’s principle is to live and let live. “Don’t abuse my god’s and my faith” wrote Rashmi Gautam.
