Makers Of Jr NTR-starrer Devara Construct An Elaborate Beach Set In Hyderabad: Reports

Actor Jr NTR broke into the pan-India scene in a grand manner with SS Rajamouli’s RRR last year. Since then, fans have been awaiting his next project with bated breath, not only in the Telugu states but all over India. His upcoming film Devara, which was previously referred to as NTR30, is now the focus of attention. The film, directed by Koratala Siva, is about a fishing town and has Jr NTR in dual roles. He will be reportedly portraying both father and son on screen.

The setting of a fishing town is enough to suggest that the sea will be featured extensively in the movie since the story revolves around the sea mafia. It has already been widely reported that the underwater fight sequences and sea-borne scenes are going to be massively spectacular. They will be inspired by Hollywood films, the reports added. Now, the latest reports suggest that the team is presently shooting at an elaborately-created beach set near Shamshabad in Hyderabad.

The beach set has reportedly been designed by art director Sabu Cyril. The reports added that the set is so visually striking that it looks like a real beach. For its artistic effectiveness, the set’s realistic appearance and method of recreating sea waves at one end are reported to be thrilling.

The reports claimed that in addition to the tonnes of beach sand, the art team also gathered boulders and large rocks from some of Karnataka’s best beaches to embellish the set. Viewers won’t ever feel like they are seeing a set, especially after the background extension of this beach set is completed using visual effects, the sources close to the production team reportedly told the media.

Initially, real beach locations like Goa and Visakhapatnam were considered for shooting the scenes of Devara. Ultimately, the film’s team decided to construct a realistic set in Shamshabad. Jr NTR has taken special training for his underwater fight sequences in the film. Koratala Siva has promised his viewers a complete visual spectacle with this film. Devara will also mark the Telugu debut of Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor.
