10 persons diagnosed with dengue symptoms in Barsathua village

Ten persons were on Friday diagnosed with symptoms of Dengue in a village in Bihar's Rohtas district, health department sources said.

A team of doctors visited Barsathua village and found 10 persons, including three women and a girl, were suffering from symptoms of dengue during check up, the Medical Officer In-Charge (MOIC) Pravesh Paswan said.

The affected people were referred to Varanasi for treatment, he said.

In all, 117 villages were checked up by the visiting medical team and apart from 10 persons afflicted with dengue symptoms, the remaining persons were found to be suffering from other kind of fever, he said.

The medical team was rushed to the village following death of seven persons due to high fever earlier this month, Paswan said.
