HYDERABAD: A head constable and a constable attached to the Mir Chowk police station were suspended on Thursday for assaulting a man.On October 4, head constable G Parvatha Reddy and constable A Sri Kumar went to Yah Ali Cafe at Kali Kaber where they found Ahmed Ali creating nuisance and abusing the hotel workers.When the police constables tried to intervene, Ahmed Ali abused them.The angered cops beat up Ahmed Ali with sticks following which his leg was fractured.Later, they took Ahmed Ali to the Mir Chowk police station and left him there without informing the matter to the station house officer.Mir Chowk inspector S Ramachandra Reddy investigated the matter and submitted a report to city police commissioner AK Khan. Based on the report, Khan issued an order suspending the duo.
