3 SFI activists attacked by RSS workers

NEYYATTINKARA: Three SFI activists were attacked by suspected RSS activists at Anavoor late on Friday evening. Sivaprasad, Mahesh amd Gireesh, all SFI members and natives of Anavoor were hacked by a nine member gang in front of Anavoor Government school around 9.30 p m.According to the police, the assailants arrived in three bikes, waylaid the youths and attacked them with swords. Sivaprasad,a university councillor from Kattakada Christian College received serious head injuries.  CPM leaders accused that RSS members were behind the attack. They alleged that RSS men attacked their cadre for registering a case against ransacking the CPM reception committee office erected as part of the party state conference. Heavy police force is deployed in the area to check fresh violence.
