41-year-old BJP MLA Swapan Majumder Ties The Knot With A 21-year-old
Reportedly, Swapan Majumder got married to Trisha Mistry, daughter of Rinku Bairagi Mistry, who is a resident of Bongaon, Amlapara.

Recently, the result of the Lok Sabha elections was declared. BJP candidate Swapan Majumder from Barasat constituency, West Bengal was defeated in the polls. Recently, he has been in the headlines. He sat on the threshold of marriage after forty. The photos are currently going viral on the internet.

Swapan Majumder finally got married at the age of 41. Reportedly, he got married to Trisha Mistry, daughter of Rinku Bairagi Mistry, who is a resident of Bongaon, Amlapara. Trisha, a recent college graduate, is 21 years old. He also posted that picture on social media with his new wife.

The ‘Elahi Ayojon’ arrangement was made at the wedding of Swapan Majumdar, a resident of Gopalnagar Palla. Thousands of workers from the BJP leadership were invited to the MLA’s wedding ceremony. The groom was dressed in a black sherwani paired with a printed shall. The bride’s outfit was also eye-catching as she opted for traditional Bengali attire. She donned a beautiful red and blue coloured banarasi saree that she styled with a matching blouse and a sheer red dupatta.

Although the wedding menu was very simple. Along with rice, pulses, fish, there was fried rice, chutney with mutton kasha, papad, and rasgolla included in the list. The marriage of the two is discussed a lot on social media. Many congratulated the couple with a “Happy marriage life." A user wrote, “Good wishes. God bless you," while another said, “Best wishes for the future."

Majumder lost the Lok Sabha elections, he is the BJP MLA from Bangaon Dakshin constituency. He has come to the headlines by making controversial comments at various times.

Earlier, his nomination for the Barasat constituency for Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal stirred controversy. He was alleged to have involvement in an international drug smuggling ring and subsequent arrest at Guwahati in 2017. While talking to The Wire, he alleged that the entire incident was a conspiracy.

“The police put a bag in the coach before I boarded the train and framed me. I was in jail for nine months. Later, I was released on bail. I am a contractor by profession. I am a full-time BJP worker since 2014. TMC is on shaky ground in Bangaon. That’s why they are bringing these old cases up again," he added.
