New Delhi: The Cabinet on Thursday approved amendments to the Motor Vehicle Act, increasing steeply the fine to be paid for traffic rules violations. According to sources, the Cabinet has approved the amendments to the Act for harsher punishments for offences like drunken driving and violation of traffic rules.
