HYDERABAD: The police on Friday arrested seven persons in connection with the murder of D Yadagiri, a close aide of slain Telugu Desam leader Paritala Ravindra.Yadagiri was murdered near Ghatkesar on November 21. During investigation, the police suspected the hand of his relatives behind the murder. Yadagiri was involved in the murder of his relative at Uppal. The kin of the deceased who bore a grudge against Yadagiri, were waiting for an opportunity to eliminate him. They included T Prabhakar, T Veeresham, T Narasimha, M Yellaswamy, M Gopalakrishna, M Balakrishna and M Mahesh. Yadagiri and his rivals attended the death ceremony of their relative at Bibi Nagar on November 21. Yadagiri also started coercing his rival Prabhakar to withdraw the murder case filed against him in the Uppal police station.Prabhakar and his associates who decided to take a revenge against Yadagiri for killing their relative, intercepted his car at Ghatkesar while he was returning home, and attacked him with empty bottles. They stabbed him on his chest with broken glass bottles which resulted in his instantaneous death.The police picked up Prabhakar and his associates from their houses at Uppal and Ghatkesar.
