KOCHI: The Choice School enthralled the audience gathered at JT Pac with their performance of The Odyssey…from the Oceans to the Hills. They performed two sequences - The Adventures of Odysseus - from Homer’s Iliad, describing the larger than life encounters of Odysseus,the brave Greek warrior. The second sequence was a glimpse into a Hollywood Classic - The Sound of Music. The cast sang and spoke their dialogues live on stage. They were trained by noted music director Jerry Amaldev. Six songs were integrated into a dramatic sequence that took the audience down memory lane. The cast comprised of 150 students from Class V. The school management decided to dedicate the income from this show as charity for two institutions. One among them is the Home for the Destitutes, Perumanoor which will enable them to upgrade the existing residential facilities for the growing number of inmates.A portion of the total collection will also go to Navajyothi - Centre for Child Behavioural Sciences, Kakkanad for enhancing the facilities at the centre and providing comprehensive training and rehabilitation of autistic children.Jose Thomas, President of The Choice School and Molly Cyril addressed the gathering. The charity show was held to mark the 20th anniversary celebrations of The Choice School.
