Andhra's Araku Coffee Gets National Attention After PM Modi's Mann Ki Baat Mention
Without any middlemen, this coffee is supplied from Araku to countries worldwide.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned and praised Araku coffee in his Mann Ki Baat radio show, causing the coffee to trend across the country. So, what makes Araku coffee special? Araku Valley, located 100 kilometres from Visakhapatnam in the Eastern Ghats, is known for its dense forests, misty beauty, and natural charm. The temperature there usually ranges between 20 to 30 degrees Celsius, with very little heat. For coffee crops to grow well, the temperature should be between 15 to 28 degrees Celsius. Therefore, Araku Valley is a suitable place for coffee cultivation, allowing coffee plants to grow well and produce excellent-tasting coffee. This taste is loved not only in India but worldwide. This coffee is grown in a special place using organic methods without pesticides and chemicals.

Initially, Araku coffee plants produce green berries. By November and December, they reach the fruit stage, turning red like vermilion. The Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC) buys these ripened berries from the tribal people. GCC Director Suresh says their goal is to provide income to the tribal people in the forests. He states that the global recognition of Araku coffee is the result of the hard work of the tribal people who cultivate these crops. They follow international standards and receive special training for this purpose. Additionally, Araku coffee beans are special red beans, collected with high-quality standards, and processed, roasted, and packed to meet international standards.

Without any middlemen, this coffee is supplied from Araku to countries worldwide. It is supplied across India as well. GCC Director Suresh Kumar expressed his joy that Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned their GCC coffee in Mann Ki Baat. He noted that the Prime Minister’s words about Araku coffee signify its importance. He added that Modi’s mention of Araku coffee has doubled their enthusiasm, and he thanked the Prime Minister for it.
