As Kumaradhara River Overflows, Safety Alert At Karnataka's Kukke Subramanya Temple

Karnataka has been lashed with heavy rains for the past few weeks. As per several reports, alerts have been issued across the state for the citizens to stay safe from the pour. Now, Local18 has reported about the Kukke Subramanya temple and what the authorities have instructed the devotees related to the rain onslaught.

It is being reported that the Kumaradhara River, near the Kukke Subramanya temple, is experiencing high water levels due to the continuous rains. The bathing ghat at the river, a popular place for the devotees to take a dip, is reportedly submerged. So, the believers are finding it hard to take the holy dip; the temple management has issued instructions to the visiting devotees, hoping to take a dip.

According to the instructions, the devotees are told to not go near the river, as the waters are expected to be violent. As per more reports by Local18, the temple management has come up with an alternative for the devotees to fulfil their desires.

The management has opted to collect the water from the Kumaradhara river and transfer it to the drums, giving the devotees another option for a dip. Guards and temple security personnel have been deployed near the ghat for the safety of the devotees.

More reports mention that areas like the Malnad region, located in the district of Chikkamagaluru, are experiencing above-average rainfall. It is being reported from the regions of Mudigere, Koppa, Sringeri, NR Pura and Kalasa, causing a lot of inconveniences to the locals of the areas. Moreover, the rivers like Tungabhadra and Hemavathi are being reported to have high water flows due to the rains. In the Malnad region, these rivers are beyond the danger levels and citizens residing near them, are advised to stay alert and careful.
