Bengaluru: High Alert In Electronic City After Leopard Spotted Crossing Flyover
CCTV footage from the Phase 1 toll plaza captured the leopard's silhouette crossing the road before quickly retreating in the opposite direction

A leopard was seen crossing a flyover near a toll plaza in Bengaluru early this morning, triggering concerns and heightened vigilance in the area.

The leopard was spotted at around 3:00 am in Electronic City, a major tech hub.

CCTV footage from the Phase 1 toll plaza captured the leopard’s silhouette crossing the road before quickly retreating in the opposite direction. The animal is reported to have moved from the Panak India Company area to the NTTF ground, according to an NDTV report.

This latest incident comes after a leopard sighting was reported in Karnataka’s Jigani earlier this month, leading police and forest officials to believe it might be the same animal.

Residents of BRS Layout in Kyalasanahalli, Jigani, were alarmed when a leopard was spotted wandering into their neighbourhood. CCTV footage from the area shows the leopard strolling through the locality.

The locals were alerted by barking dogs and have since called on the Forest Department to take action and capture the leopard. Jigani is located near the expansive Bannerghatta National Park.
