Birthday fete of Mar Chrysostum on April 26

THIRUVALLAThiruvalla: The 95th birthday celebrations of Valiya Metropolitan of Marthoma Church Philipose Mar Chrysostum and inauguration of humanitarian programmes in connection with the birthday would be held at Dr Alexander Marthoma Memorial Auditorium here on April 26.The programme, organised by the Mar Chrysostum Centre to Enable Ecumenical Living (Mac-CEEL) and Thiruvalla Pouravali, would be inaugurated by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at 3 p m.Metropolitan of Marthoma Church Joseph Marthoma would preside over the function. Finance Minister K M Mani would inaugurate the Mac-CEEL projects as part of the birthday.Cine star Mammootty would inaugurate the humanitarian programmes. Zacharias Mar Theophilos  Suffragan Metropolitan would deliver the birthday message. CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan, KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala, BJP state president V Muralidharan, Panakkad Saddiq Ali Sihab Thangal would be the chief guests on the occasion.
