HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) politburo member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has demanded that the ruling Congress should spell out its stand on Telangana statehood demand.Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, Ramakrishnudu said the TDP made its stand clear at the Mahanadu and put the onus on the Centre.“TDP leaders of all the regions have resolved that the Centre has to solve the T-issue. Why can’t the Congress leaders also do a similar exercise?” he questioned. The responsibility of resolving the issue lies with the ruling party, he said.He blamed the Union minister and in-charge of AP affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad for making things complicated in the state. “Azad was responsible for Kashmir imbroglio. He is now making Andhra Pradesh another Kashmir,” Ramakrishnudu alleged. The Srikrishna Committee gave six options, let the Centre implement any one of them, he demanded. He said AICC president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh were responsible for the mess in the state.Ridiculing the Union Home Minister P Chidambaram’s statement that TDP should arrive at a consensus within the party on the issue, Ramakrishnudu wondered whether the Centre would take decision as suggested by the Opposition. If Azad could not understand the 2011 Mahanadu resolution which was in Telugu, we will send it in English, he quipped.
