HYDERABAD: A 22-year-old woman from Old City, who went to Riyadh to work as a domestic help and subjected to torture there, was rescued by the city police.According to police, Zakera Begum of Yakutpura went to Riyadh in March this year. She was working as a domestic help in the houses of two Saudi nationals . Just after two days she reached there, Zakera called up her sister, Shahnaz Begum, saying she was being ill-treated. Shahnaz Begum met South Zone DCP Akun Sabharwal and told him that her sister's employers were not allowing her to leave the country. The police, on phone, approached the Indian Embassy in Riyadh and rescued her.
