KOCHI: The High Court was crowded on Tuesday, with hundreds thronging the premises. Even the court room was packed with advocates, media persons, policemen, law students and a few sympathisers as the verdict against CPM leader M V Jayarajan was being pronounced.Jayarajan, along with some party activists, reached the court premises by 10.30 am. The proceedings began by 11.45 am. Jayarajan looked calm in the court premises and inside the court room. The bench comprising Justices V Ramkumar and P Q Barkath Ali pronounced the judgment by 12 pm. As soon as the verdict was pronounced, party activists who were assembled outside the court premises, shouted slogans condemning the verdict.The road leading to the court was crowded with supporters protesting against the verdict. As Jayarajan came out of the court premises, a group of supporters rushed to his vehicle, blocking it. The police had a tough time controlling them.A Police team in three vehicles, led by Kochi Central Circle Inspector Suneesh Babu, took Jayarajan to the Poojappura Central Jail in Thiruvanathapuram.
