Understanding of god

I see god as a symbol from which we draw rules. These rules have been derived over many years by our ancestors. It is through these rules that one must lead his or her life. God is someone we all turn to in case of problems.

Faith in miracles

Miracles do not just happen. There is no instant fame or overnight success. I don’t believe in this concept. Miracles are those that can be achieved through determination and hard work, combined with luck.

Religious practices

Though we may not understand them fully, religious practices give us a cultural identity.  It’s important that each one of us takes some time out to understand the practices that are in use today. It may also lead to us discovering a whole new side to us. It is a form of introspection.

Spiritual belief

Spiritual belief is essential to maintain mental balance. Without faith in something, maintaining peace in this world of chaos and uncertainty will be highly difficult.

Take on meditation

I’ve not tried meditating, but I’ve found the same calming effects through dance. It’s through dance that I interact with myself on various levels and try to find the best in me.

Favourite pilgrimage spots

The Vaishno Devi Temple in the Trikula hills is my favourite spot. The calm and peaceful atmosphere there gives me a sense of fulfilment.
