New Delhi: India and Sri Lanka will renew their battle in the Test arena when the second match of the three-match series begins on Saturday.
Both the teams have reached New Delhi and are busy practicing ahead of the match. The first match, played in Chennai, did not produce any result as more than three days of the match was rained out.
But the rain-marred Test match did not have pleasent memories for the hosts as they were bundled out for a mere 167, their lowest total against the Lankans.
Coach Greg Chappel and Rahul Dravid have already taken a look at the Firoz Shah Kotla wicket on Wednesday. The coach refused to comment on the nature of the wicket but Dravid called it a good wicket.
The Delhi wicket has been traditionally a batsman paradise and it seemed to be no different this time althought the cold weather and the dew may provide some help to the fast bowlers.
The fans will also be hoping that Sachin Tendulkar will reach his 35th Test century and break the record of original Little Master, Sunil Gavasker, at the Kotla ground.
Meanwhile some members of the team had their minds on a different but delicious field. Harbhajan Singh and Mahender Singh Dhoni were the star attraction at the launch of a fast food restaurant in New Delhi and were mobbed by the media and their fans.
