TIRUNELVELI: DMK candidate J Jawahar Suryakumar filed his nomination for the Sankarankoil by-election on Monday.The 41-year-old Suryakumar filed his papers before Returning Officer P Selvaraj at the Tirunelveli Collectorate. Union Minister and DMK South Zone organising secretary M K Alagiri, S Thangavel, MP, party district secretary Karuppasamy Pandian and Radhakrishnan were present. DMK dummy candidate Anbumani also filed nomination. Samajwadi Party candidate K S Nageswara Rao,  independent candidates T Jayaraj, A Thankaraja and Akila, India Jananayaga Makkal Katchi candidate S Ganesan and Purathchi Bharatham candidate Senbagavalli filed their nominations on Monday. So far 15 candidates have filed nominations.
