Education vital for development: Ashok

BANGALORE: “Caste is not important for any post.It is the efficiency and conduct of the person that matters more than anything else. No community is high or low,” Home and Transport Minister R Ashok said.Speaking at Jogi Sambhrama, a programme organised to mark the silver jubilee celebrations of Jogi Samaja Sudharaka Sangha, he said,”The menace of convertion should be stopped and nobody should become its victims. Jogi community is striving hard and moving ahead with a motive to establish an identity for themselves.”He said education plays an important role in bringing any community to the mainstream of the society. Yogi Somanatha Swamy, Neelakanta Swamy, actor Seriate and others participated in the programme.
