Election brochure released

KOCHI: District Collector P I Sheik Pareeth on Monday released the election brochure brought out by the Information and Public Relations Department for the Piravom bypoll. The first copy was received by Assistant Collector Bhandari Swagath Ranveer Chand.Election Deputy Collector S Shanawas, Public Relations Department regional deputy director N S Anil Kumar, District Information Officer Chandrahasan Vaduthala, Assistant Editor C P Firos and Assistant Information Officer Nijas Jewel were present.Candidates and their symbols, number of voters, phone numbers and other details of the General Observer, Expenditure Observer, District Election Officer and Returning Officer along with the name and details of Media Certification and Monitoring Committee members are mentioned in the brochure. Constituency-specific information, including the winners and majority in elections since 1977, villages in the constituency and number of polling stations have also been included. The brochure is available free of cost at the village offices in the constituency, the District Information Office and Information Office of the Deputy Director, Kakkanad.
