Etela refutes TDP charges against KCR

HYDERABAD: TRS Legislature Party leader Etela Rajender has refuted the allegations of Telugu Desam against TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao pertaining to the Polavaram project tenders.The TRS is planning to file a defamation case against the TDP leaders on Polavaram tender row. It has also decided to lodge a complaint with the vigilance and enforcement agency seeking an inquiry into TDP leaders’ allegations against the TRS chief pertaining to Polavaram project tenders.Speaking to reporters at Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday, he said the allegations levelled by Telugu Desam leaders against Rao were baseless. Describing the TDP as a ‘contractors party’, he said the Telugu Desam which hatched a ‘political conspiracy’ to weaken the Telangana movement, had started attacking TRS leaders.The TRS was in no way connected with the Polavaram project tenders. He demanded that Polavaram project tenders be cancelled and fresh tenders should be invited.The TRS leader said the party was ready for an open debate on properties of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and TRS president Rao.The TRS will observe November 1 as a Telangana Betrayal Day.TRS, BJP, TDP rebel MLAs and resigned MLAs will take part in an indefinite hunger strike at Indira Park for Telangana.
