Spain's Verdasco, seeded eighth in the clay-court tournament, beat fifth-seeded Grigor Dimitrov in the first semi-final on Saturday. Verdasco came from behind and broke the Bulgarian's serve in the third set to win 7-6(3), 5-7, 7-5.
In the day's second match, Argentina's Berlocq beat Thiemo De Bakker of the Netherlands 7-5, 6-3.
