The government has pressed the panic button on prices. And its not just onions.

1. Sugar prices are up over 1 per cent in a month
2. Car prices have gone upto 2 per cent in this period
3. Petrol prices have gone upto 8 per cent in six months
4. Prices of consumer durables are up by 10 per cent
5. Air fares have risen around 15 per cent
