Patki was being treated for lung cancer.

Sangli: Venkappa Patki, Janata Dal leader and former member of Maharashtra Legislative Council, passed away at a private hospital in Miraj in the district on Saturday evening, family sources said.

He was 64.

Patki was being treated for lung cancer.

He is survived by wife and two sons.
