HYDERABAD: TDP president Chandrababu Naidu has said that the downfall of YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had begun with the CBI probing into his ‘illegal’ assets.Addressing a party workers’ training camp here on Thursday, Naidu said that both Congress and the YSR Congress were the same as far as corruption was concerned.“If Jagan wants to emerge as a leader by criticising the TDP, he will not succeed,” Naidu said.Recalling that several regional parties in the state have merged with the Congress in the past, Naidu predicted that the YSR Congress too would do so sooner or later.“Jagan was caught in the quagmire of corruption.Congress has no able leader in the state and its survival is difficult. The future belongs to the TDP,” Naidu averred.The TDP chief alleged that opponents were levelling baseless allegations against the TDP to tarnish its image. “Even Rajasekhara Reddy withdrew the cases filed against me. He ordered 26 enquiries against me.But he could not prove a single one. Now, his son Jagan is neck deep in corruption,” Naidu said.He directed the party to effectively counter false allegations and present facts before the people. Naidu advised mandal party presidents to interact with people to know their problems.TDP HRD cell convenor Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, MLC Y B Rajendra Prasad and others were present.
