Gang assaults women, snatches gold chain

TIRUPUR: A trio attacked two women and snatched a seven sovereign gold chain near Dharapuram on Tuesday.According to police sources, Saraswathi, a resident of Oothur in Arrikaranvalasu and her relative were walking on the road when they were knocked down by a trio on a motorbike. Saraswathi’s gold chain was snatched. On seeing the public rushing to the spot, the trio fled. The Mulanur police have registered a case and investigation is on.
