New Delhi: The capital's famed Ramleela celebrations in the run up to the Dusshera festival could now been seen world over on the internet.
The organisers of the festival have made arrangements to webcast the 11-day festivities which begins this Saturday.
"We have taken this step keeping in mind the needs of our international audience," said Arjun Kumar, secretary of the Luv-Kush Ramleela Committee, which has been organising the festival for the past 23 years.
This year, the festival will be organised in the sanatan style wherein the male actor plays the role of a female as against the vrindavan style where male and female actors play their respective roles.
Ramleela celebrations are being celebrated for several centuries in the capital and are gaining more popularity in recent times, Kumar said.
He said tight security arrangements were being put in place for the festivities and CCTVs have been installed at the Red Fort grounds, the venue for the celebrations.
