New Delhi: Google has launched a new camera app - Google Camera - for Android phones and tablets that brings many camera features that were previously available only on the Nexuus range to other Android devices and also includes new feature additions such as the Lens Blur.

Lens Blur produces SLR-like shallow depth-of-field results. With Lens Blur users can emphasise a subject by blurring the background. The subject in focus can be changed even after a photograph is taken.

With Google Camera, features such as the Photo Sphere also come to non-Nexus devices. Google has also made major interface changes over the stock camera app in Android KitKat. Google Camera has a 100% viewfinder and a larger capture button.

Google Camera is available on Google Play for devices running Android 4.4+ KitKat. Nexus users can get the new app as an automatic update.
