VELLORE: One more person died in the Gudiyattam bus accident. The mishap took place on January 4. A private bus from Pernambut to Gudiyattam hit an electric post while giving way to another approaching vehicle near Kalarpalayam. Three persons — Hariprasad (19), Mohan (21) and Venkatesan (58) — who were travelling on the footboard of the bus, were severely injured in the mishap. All the three were admitted to the hospital. Hariprasad succumbed to injuries earlier, while Venkatesan, a mason, died on Wednesday. Man Found Dead A man was found dead in a bush near Arcot on Tuesday. He was identified as Pichaimuthu (45) of Palla Colony in Kalavai near Arcot. He was missing since Tuesday morning. The body bore several injuries and was found near Kalavai bus stand. Kalavai police filed a case and are investigating.Two Hit by Lorry, DieTwo persons were killed when they were hit by an approaching lorry near Polur on Wednesday.Pandian (23) and Murugan (35) of Poondi village near Polur were returning from Padavedu temple by motorcycle when they were hit by a lorry. Pandian died on the spot and Murugan died at the Vellore GH. Polur police filed a case and arrested the lorry driver Venkatesan (31). Inquiry is on.
