A cab driver from Haryana’s Ballabgarh was nabbed on Friday after he tried to flee when the traffic police asked for the documents of the vehicle he was driving.
The incident that was captured on camera showed that the driver, who was allegedly drunk, blocked the traffic in the area by parking his car in between the road to pick up passengers.

As per media reports, at this time, the traffic sub-inspector approached him, asking for his vehicle documents and preparing to issue a challan. Soon, this police check turned into a heated dispute.
According to eyewitnesses, the sub-inspector leaned in through the driver’s door to look at the papers when the driver suddenly hit the accelerator.
Following this, the traffic official was dragged a few metres, as he held on to the speeding vehicle before the car stopped. Meanwhile, people and other traffic personnel quickly came around the vehicle and rescued the officer.
As per an NDTV report, the driver has been identified by the police and strict action will be taken against him.
