Highway collision injures 3

KOCHI: Three persons were seriously injured when an ambulance and a Toyota Innova collided on the National Highway at Kundannur on Thursday night. The injured, including ambulance driver Santhosh Kumar, of Santhosh Bhavan, Ayanikad in Alappuzha, Shanmukhan of Mavelikkara and his wife Lalitha, have been admitted to the Ernakulam Medical Centre.Santhosh, who suffered head injury, has been placed under observation in the surgical intensive care unit, while Shanmukhan is in the medical intensive care unit, hospital authorities said.
